My name is Victor and I am the CEO at Seth Media AS – a fast-growing e-commerce drop shipping company based out of Norway specializing in small consumer goods and lifestyle products that combine innovation, function, and style.
We are looking to hire a highly experienced, quick-on-their-feet Chief Operating Officer with an exceptional gift for creating order out of chaos and mapping out systems and processes that are both agile and responsive to the fast-paced growth and industry trends in e-commerce. Our ideal candidate is an extremely detail-oriented and results-driven Pro at overseeing and making sure that all departments, from marketing, supply chain, customer service, and payment processing are working as they should, hitting KPIs and marching in sync as the company continues on its journey of rapid growth.
This is a full-time remote position.
We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer specifically with these requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- 5+ years experience working in General Operations management for a direct response e-commerce/ dropshipping company
- Proven track record of scaling dropshipping operations from $2M/month to $10M/month
- Has at least 5+ years of building and managing teams and tracking performance metrics
- Proven experience in overseeing Customer Service, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance (high-risk payment processors and fraud/risk mitigation) departments
- In-depth experience in working with and optimizing supply chain processes, particularly with China-based suppliers and fulfillment centers
- Skilled at vendor onboarding and management
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Ability to create and build out agile operational systems and processes that are adaptive to fast-paced company growth and industry trends
- Confident and data-driven decision maker.
Your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Recruitment of a Customer Service Manager and ensuring that the customer service team is functioning at a high level and delivering excellent service to our customers
- Performing quality control of the Marketing Department’s output like content, creatives, advertorial, graphic design, and UX on the website’s landing pages to make sure all features, functionalities, and pages are functioning as they should be.
- Work with our Chinese fulfillment center to ensure that all products delivered are of high quality with no product discrepancies.
- Monitoring and managing sales funnels – purchase, packaging at the warehouse, shipments, and delivery to customer support.
- Managing the full cycle of shipping and fulfillment up to the billing.
- Work with high-risk payment processors, rotate MIDs, and implement chargeback and fraud prevention strategies
- Reviewing sales, refund, chargeback processing fees, cogs, and shipping data looking for ways to improve profitability, and informing management of any potential optimizations.
