My name is Jasmine and I am the HR Manager at Search Engine People – a close-knit team that is borderline obsessed with all things digital marketing.  We are indisputably Canada’s most trusted search agency. Our team loves working as a partner to Canadian small businesses, and some of the world’s biggest and most prolific brands. 

We are looking to hire a motivated, Digital Account Director who can develop and build a successful career with us as well as expand their knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide meaningful work and apply their skills and competencies in our company. We are looking for a people person, who enjoys interacting with staff cross-functionally and with clients. Finally, someone who can foster growth within the digital space industry.

This is a full-time remote position. 

We are looking for a Digital Account Director specifically with these requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills 
  • 5+ years experience in a client services position, managing clients and responsible for account growth
  • Experience with SMB /e-Comm/ B2B clients is ideal
  • 3+ years working for an advertising agency, managing digital programs (e.g. SEO, SEM, Social Media, Mobile, etc.)
  • 1+ years experience leading an account and digital teams, and related budget
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience presenting and selling to high-level decision-makers at enterprise brands with a national scope
  • Experience developing strategic plans with clients
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • University degree or practical hands-on experience in the digital marketing field

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Building and managing a digital team as well as developing internal relationships with all internal teams to ensure collaboration that delivers on set client objectives and goals.
  • Streamlining efficiencies and automation process.
  • Providing senior account direction and people leadership to our high-performance team of Account Managers and Campaign Managers.
  • Mentoring and providing leadership to POD members.
  • Building and enhancing relationships with clients to develop a firm understanding of the client’s industry, marketing strategy, and goals.
  • Looking for opportunities to grow existing client relationships.
  • Managing internal aspects of project implementation including, the preparation of client engagement briefings and proposals, tracking client data, QA validation, and reporting of internal and external client activities and communications.
  • Monitoring established program KPIs and ensuring that the program performance meets the agreed-upon client KPIs.
  • Supporting major new business initiatives including client pitches, RFP responses, and marketing events.
  • Developing productive business relationships and alliances with senior executives with our clients in order to manage the day-to-day program-related inquiries and deliverables.
  • Delivering effective and efficient documentation, communication, and dissemination of information regarding client activities and client administrative procedures.
  • Working with clients to complete a specific project brief and coordinate client approvals.
  • Creating Status and Budget Reports in accordance with SEP’s standards for quality and accuracy.
  • Development of annual account plans that meet revenue growth and profit margin targets for assigned clients.
  • Ongoing ownership of client financial health including revenue delivery, growth, and profitability.
  • Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of SEP’s product offerings, including web and digital development, media, and analytics.
  • Remain knowledgeable about ongoing program activities.
  • Serving as a thought leader internally and externally through knowledge-sharing, blog and whitepaper development, and industry event participation.
