Job Description

Hello, SEO Specialists!

My name is Jeremy and I am the CEO at Lupa Digital Inc. – A digital marketing agency singularly focused on providing effective recommendations unique to our clients, critical thought, deep analysis, and a testing mindset to bring about real results that will drive more organic traffic to their websites and get more of that traffic to purchase or become a lead.

Services provided focus on search engine optimization but also include paid acquisition, email marketing, and conversion rate optimization – the real value added is in critical thinking and making sure that the traffic that a client gets has the best chance of doing what the client wants.

Our superpowers are critical thinking and radical empathy for the client to bring our digital marketing and analytical expertise to help them accomplish their unique goals, whatever the niche.

We are looking to hire a data-driven, SEO Specialist who can confidently develop and implement effective search engine optimization strategies to enhance our clients’ online visibility and drive organic traffic. You will conduct comprehensive keyword research, perform technical audits, and provide actionable recommendations to improve on-page and off-page SEO. Your role will involve continuous analysis, identification of opportunities, proposal of recommendations and reporting on performance metrics, ensuring that our clients achieve and maintain top search engine rankings for important queries to our clients.

This is a part-time role with the potential to grow into a full-time position within 3 months.

We are looking for an SEO Specialist specifically with these requirements:

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Over 3 years of experience practicing SEO, implementing strategies that enhance search engine rankings and increase organic traffic.
  • Expertise with Google Analytics 4, utilizing it to track and analyze website performance, create custom reports, and interpret data for data-driven decisions.
  • Expertise with Google Search Console, leveraging its functionalities to monitor website health, fix crawl errors, submit sitemaps, and analyze search performance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including regular use of advanced features like VLOOKUPs & pivot tables for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with any of the following SEO tools: Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Ahrefs, and SEMrush, utilizing them for comprehensive site audits, competitive analysis, and keyword research.
  • Proven experience meeting deadlines, overcoming challenges and achieving success

Nice to have:

  • Experience with paid acquisition via Google Ads or Meta.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager.
  • Speaking experience at industry conferences/meet-ups.
  • Experience managing clients.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide on-page recommendations and implement changes when possible to improve client site pages.
  • Conduct competitor analysis for research and inspiration to stay ahead in the market.
  • Maintain regular check-ins and communication with me for status updates, progress reports, identifying blockers, and discussing next tasks, ideally including client management and interaction.
  • Manage SEO analysis, research, and ideation, and make recommendations for optimizing strategies.
  • Analyze traffic patterns to identify drops or gains and take necessary actions.
  • Stay updated with industry research to keep abreast of the latest trends and updates.
  • Perform thorough keyword research to inform content and SEO strategies.
  • Communicate any issues found and their solutions to both me and the client for transparency and effective problem-solving.
  • Conduct bi-weekly analysis of keyword ranking volatility to track performance and identify trends.
  • Perform monthly analysis of technical audit changes to ensure website health and compliance with best practices.

Growth Opportunities/Perks:

  • Flexible work schedule: work when you want as long as the work gets done, expectations are exceeded and commitments are met.
  • Remote work.
  • Access to cutting-edge tools.
  • Flexible time off.
  • Ability to learn and experience working with different-sized companies in a variety of niches.

This Position Is Perfect For You If…

You are Self-Motivated and Ambitious.

You have a proven track record of driving organic traffic and improving search engine rankings.  You are adept at leveraging data-driven insights and innovative strategies to achieve measurable results, while continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development. You take pride in your work and can identify and act upon opportunity without being told what to do.

You’re a Proactive Problem Solver.

You excel at identifying opportunities and implementing strategic solutions to drive relevant organic traffic. You are adept at anticipating challenges, addressing issues promptly, and driving sustained growth in organic traffic through innovative and data-driven approaches. You understand why vanity metrics are not important at Lupa Digital and will focus on the tasks that will have the best chance of driving success for the client, which is the ultimate goal.

You’re an Effective Communicator.

You are good at articulating complex SEO strategies and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring everyone understands the goals and progress. You seamlessly bridge the gap between data-driven analysis and actionable recommendations, fostering clear and productive collaboration. When a client or stakeholder messages you, you respond in a prompt fashion as soon as reasonably possible. Making people wait is the norm, Lupa Digital exceeds expectations by being considered a part of our clients’ team.

You Meet Your Deadlines.

It’s been said that showing up is half the battle. At Lupa Digital, we are punctual and we get things done when we say we’ll get them done. If we make a commitment to get something done, our word is our bond and we will bend over backwards to do it. If for whatever reason a task or a commitment can’t be met, it will be PROACTIVELY communicated to the client and myself, but this happens almost never. If you have a loose relationship with deadlines, meetings or commitments, this isn’t the role for you.
